Coach Sims was asked post game for his recap and comments regarding the team's performance. Here's what he had to say:
"Weston and Kendall always bring tough opposition so to come away with a win and a tie is usually a positive outcome. The performance on Saturday was impressive and after going down 1-0 the team battled back to win 3-1. Edgar Pena and Paul Gyorkos had stand out performances against Weston and it was a great win against a quality side.
In the game Sunday, we knew it would be a tough test as we were low on numbers, it was very hot and the team was coming off an impressive win. For the second straight day we went down 1-0. This was a game that we were clearly the better team. We made a few adjustments and Seth Rinkevich was able to get us a PK that Jerson Camacho buried. It was a frustrating day all around and I was a bit disappointed in our response and our reaction to the elements of the game. We showed a side of our team I have not seen and we will work to improve on coming together as a team when faced with adversity."
