JASA Challenge Soccer Tryouts: Boys U10, U11, U12, and U14; June 2nd and June 4th, 5:00 PM to 7:30; Girls U10, U11, U12, U14, and U16; June 3rd and June5th 5:00 PM to 7:30. Rainout day: June 6th. FREE CAR WASH (apr 24, 2008)
The U10 Boys Lancers Challenge Team will be holding a Free Car Wash on Saturday 4/26 from 10:30am - 1:30pm (or later if needed) at Gold's Gym (located on Henderson Drive Extension). Please come out and support one of our own.
MOC Summer Trojan Soccer Camp at JASA (apr 24, 2008)
JASA is pleased to announce the Mount Olive College Summer Trojan Soccer Camp on June 16-19, 2008 at the JASA Soccer fields. The camp is open to both Boys and Girls ages 4-15. There will be two sessions: one for U4-U8 from 9-11am with a cost of $65 AND the other for U9-U15 from 9-12noon with a cost of $75. A camp application is available for download HERE  or HERE  . 2008 Touchstone Energy 4V4 Soccer Tournament (mar 7, 2008 / updated apr 15, 2008)
The 2008 Touchstone Energy 4V4 Soccer Tournament will be held on June 21-22, 2008 in Jacksonville, NC. The tournament is open to all NCYSA registered players for age groups U8 thru U19. There will be Boys, Girls, and Coed divisions for both Recreational and Open (Challenge, Classic, Premier) teams. Hey Coaches.... (feb 26, 2008)
Coaches, this Thursday (2/28) from 4:30 to 6:00 the JASA Challenge teams U10 thru U12 will be having a clinic at JASA. This will involve some agility work and various skill building drills at different work stations. This is a required clinic for our Challenge teams and coaches.
We would like to invite all Rec coaches who may be interested in seeing some of the drills being used. This would be especially good for our newer coaches coaching u9 thru U12 Rec teams. Due to the number of instructors we will have, we can not invite our Rec teams, but again would be delighted to have our coaches in the Rec program attend. You certiantly will get some good ideas on agility warmups, as well as other technical skill building drills.

Two Lancer Girls Teams Win Gold at Beast Of The East (feb 17, 2008)
JASA's 93 (U14) Lancers girls challenge team claimed the Gold at the Beast of the East tournament on Feb 2-3, 2008 in Greenville, NC. Congratulations!
Also, the 95 (U12) Lancers girls were Champions in their division at the same tournament. They had wins over the 95 Greenville Stars, New Bern Lady Bears, Clinton United and the championship game with ECSA's Havelock Fury. Over the tournament they scored 11 goals and allowed 4 while winning the championship in a shoot-out after playing two overtime periods in a 0 - 0 game. Great showing for the Lancers and ECSA.

Spring 2008 Registration UPDATE (jan 25, 2008)
IMPORTANT NEW INFO: All parents are requested to register thier players on Saturday, January 26th. We are required by ECSA to turn in our list of teams by January 31st. We will be open for registration on Feb 2nd, as advertised, but that registration will be used to fill vacancies on existing teams, if any.
Parents, If you have a returning player that played for JASA in the fall and can not register this Saturday please call your coach and let your coach know that you will be registering on Feb 2nd. We will check with all coaches on returning players to make sure they are assigned to their team for the spring season.
